April 7, 2015 Board Meeting Agenda Item #9 Title APPROVAL OF MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN SARASOTA COUNTY PROPERTY APPRAISER AND TAXING DISTRICT Description The Sarasota County Property Appraiser intends to contract with a third party to assist him in recovering additional tax revenue by identifying properties improperly designated as homestead.  The Property Appraiser by the Memorandum of Understanding seeks the School Board's consent to forfeit 30% of any additional revenue so generated to compensate the third party vendor for its services. The School Board would receive 70% of any new revenue generated as a result of the vendor's work. Recommendation That the Memorandum of Understanding between Sarasota County Property Appraiser and Taxing District be approved as presented.
